Big announcement, small post
I finished writing my novel. Well, that's not exactly true. It needs editing, editing, and more editing. And maybe it is so awful that it's not worth editing. But, I'm done, as far as the challenge goes. Today, I passed the 50,000 word mark. I wrote what seemed like a good last sentence, just as Dick got home, looked at the bottom of my computer screen, and saw that my word count was 50,131. Wow. I am amazed. Now, the hard part starts.
Image note: On the 25th, I get some sort of graphic from NaNoWriMo that says I WON!
Addendum: There it is, my winner badge, right on the sidebar. I think it's attractive. Does it mean I wrote a novel? No, I wrote 50,126 words of a rough draft.

Yaaaahoooo!!
Congratulations! :)
This is quite an accomplishment!
Who's a winner?
Jules is a winner!
And apparently I'm a 10 year old wannabe cheerleader (& writer!). :)
I really owe you a HUGE thank you. You were the one who got me intrigued by nano!
I can't believe you f'ing thrilled I am, even tho' the thing (novel) is a mess. It's my mess!
Apparently, I'm a ten year old wannabe novelist who suddenly likes to CHEER MYSELF! LOL!
TY TY TY!
Woo hoo!
You've gone past me, so naturally I'm jealous. (I have two unfinished novels and one unfinished novella.)
However, maybe I can think now, "If she can do it, so can I."
Congratulations! Is this your first year doing NaNo? If so, that's amazing! Even if not, that's amazing!
My first year, I wrote a total of 4k words, because I discovered it on the 20th.
Yay, Congrats! I'm not writing anything but I'm still very excited for you!!!
Nika
Yes, this was first year doing this and my first attempt at writing a novel with any intent on finishing it. That deadline really motivated me. I never expected to hit 50K in 21 days!
Having other people doing it at the same time helped. I didn't think of it as competition but as support. It was fun posting my word count and seeing others (including the person who claimed 601,000 words on day 10, whoever she is).
I will not stop writing because I've hit the 50K mark. Now it WILL get difficult. I wish there was some kind of nanowrimo support all year round!
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!!!! I am so happy for you. I know how hard you've worked on this.
I hope you feel proud of what you've done and all the efforts you've put into this.
Congratulations, Julie.
Give me a J - J!
Give me a U - U!
Give me a L - L!
Give me a E - E!
Give me a S - S!
What does that spell? One kick-ass writing chick, Jules! Jules! Jules! (see what you started TMC?)
A big congratulations to you!
